“I love Max Highstein’s music, and Daydreams is my favorite album, although I recommend all of them. Whenever I play it friends want to know how they can get this album… I highly recommend this.” -- Sanaya Roman, author Living with Joy and numerous other books, from an unsolicited Amazon.com review. ABOUT THIS ALBUM
Although Max Highstein's albums have always included quiet, meditative pieces, many of the albums contained uptempo pieces as well. Daydreams collects the most gentle selections from Touch the Sky, Stars, and some of the guided meditation backgrounds, assembled for one very peaceful album. On Daydreams, the mood is soft and soothing all the way through. Because the pieces vary in instrumentation and texture. It's an album that stays enjoyable over many, many listenings, and you'll discover something new each time you hear it. If you're in the mood for a palette of peaceful colors, Daydreams is for you.
Max Highstein says, "The songs on Daydreams represent my work in a variety of settings, from gentle chamber music, to synthesizer scores, to soft fantasy backgrounds. Many of the songs include fine performances by some outstanding guest soloists (on cello, oboe, flute, etc.), and I was fortunate to be able to call on them to support my music. I've very pleased that despite the different styles of music on Daydreams, it still holds together very nicely as a quiet collecton, and I'm very glad listeners have found it so enjoyable."
